Five days Lotusphere – five days off to new horizons - our impressions

IBM Connections is the new centerpiece for team work with functions alike a "facebook" for organisations, integration of mail systems like Domino, Exchange, further developing of Domino's groupware principles. Standardised APIs to integrate events other systems in the activity stream – so users may find everything in one place, always up-to-date, always transparent.

What I am really fond of is the brillant integration of  OnTime group calendar into the profiles and communities of IBM Connections.

We are already developing applications for Connections and are excited how easy it is. Our first results are: 

■  shareprint Q! for Connections, a printer driver filing PDFs in Connections and release for the team. 

■  filedog Q! for Connections: You want to have always the latest version of your favourite documents with you? filedog Q! takes the documents you have marked in Connections and replicates the locally on your computer or your mobile device.

During Lotusphere we were very pleased to see that the visitors liked our Lotusphere session app a lot.
